For what are you Trusted for?

As in any organization People/TEAMs create results, investing to increase TRUST and FLOW among Individuals and TEAMs will result to the highest return on investment.

In an era of rapid change in almost everything what is more stable and bigger opportunity than TRUST and FLOW among people?

But what is TRUST and FLOW in the context of an Individual, TEAM and company level?

Trust is simply down to how much value you bring to the table within your team or organization. The more value you add in your role, the greater the level of trust others have in you. When you stop delivering value, they start to trust you less. The word Trust is related to Value delivery. The more you or a company delivers consistently Value (something that customers pay for) the more is trusted. Consequently Trust is a measure of Value. Think about a company like Apple. It delivers consistently Value and is trusted to the point that customers wait overnight in a queue to buy the new products.

Individual  and Team TRUST can be easily measured with attributes like:

  3. 3. Service

  4. 4. Measurement

  5. 5. Spirit

Flow is the path of least resistance where we achieve amazing results when challenge and skills are in harmony. Flow occurs where you are leveraging the resources, such as people and systems, really effectively, in that, you can help to deliver the value in a way that is more efficient/cost effective. Flow occurs best whenever there is Value that needs to be delivered in a more effective way to the customers, stakeholders or staff and is characterized from the following aspects:

  1. A Team in Flow not only delivers better, faster and more but also provides an enjoyable and trusting environment where performance is sustainable.

  2. Team Flow can be created

  3. Team effectiveness and Flow is about effective giving value to others, not just being good at what you are doing

  4. You can get into Flow by yourself Only by getting others to Flow using your talents and them getting you into flow using theirs.

Too often teams and companies have paths of Flow to get things done that are far from the best. They must navigate around people or entire departments that often block Flow. When these paths can be unblocked and adjusted this results to radical changes to efficiency and productivity. This provides measurable growth in revenue and profit.
